Placement Policy

BACKGROUND

THIS CAREER SERVICES POLICY (HEREINAFTER “POLICY”) FORMS PART OF THE OVERALL USER TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL HERO VIRED’S LEARNERS. THIS POLICY SHALL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL OUR PROGRAMS EXCEPT STATED OTHERWISE BY OUR CAREER SERVICES TEAM (HEREINAFTER “CST”). YOUR CONSENT TO BE PART OF HERO VIRED CAREER SERVICES PROCESSES SHALL BE SUBJECT TO YOUR FURTHER TRANSACTION WITH HERO VIRED IN THIS RESPECT AS PER BELOW TERMS. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO AMEND OUR POLICIES FROM TIME TO TIME AND URGE YOU TO KEEP YOURSELF UPDATED WITH LATEST CHANGES. AS OUR POLICY EXTENDS CERTAIN BENEFITS TO OUR ALUMNI, THEY ARE REQUESTED TO SEEK THE COPY OF THE LATEST POLICY APPLICABLE BY REACHING OUT TO HERO VIRED’s CST. THIS POLICY IS AN INTERNAL AND CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT AND LEARNERS WHO HAVE ACCESS TO IT ARE BARRED FROM SHARING IT TO ANY THIRD PARTY.

Interpretation Notes:

  1. Words denoting the singular number shall include the plural and vice versa.
  2. Reference to the words “including” shall be construed without limitation.
  3. For the purpose of this Policy, wherever the context so requires "you/You" or "your/Your/yourself or they/their/them/themselves" shall mean Learners, and the term "We", "us/Us", "our/Our" shall mean Hero Vired.
  4. Words used in capitals in this Policy have meanings as defined in the Policy. Words used in capitals and not defined here will have the meaning as defined in our Terms of Use on our Platform.

INTRODUCTION

Hero Vired has designed its programs to enable Learners to acquire industry-relevant skills and expertise relevant to the industry and market requirements. We actively engage ourselves with every Learner and help them build their career profile through continuous Career Assistance (as defined below).

This Policy provides for the processes and practices including governance of various aspects of Career Assistance at Hero Vired for our Learners.

  2. Every Learner is expected to go through the terms of this Policy diligently and follow the instructions carefully.

POLICY OBJECTIVE

As part of our Career Services activities, we have the following objectives:

Making our Learners aware of the Hero Vired Career Services Policy.

Defining rules and regulations for participation in capstone projects/internships.

Defining the code of conduct of Learners during the Career Assistance Processes.

Defining the rules and regulations for providing internship opportunities to its Learners.

Defining rules for communications with companies participating in the Internship Process.

Defining the process for the acceptance of internship offers extended by participating Companies.

Defining the code of conduct of Learners during the Internship Process.

Provide conditions under which a Learner can be debarred from Career Services and Internship drives.

Defining guidelines around pre-joining formalities and conduct on completion of the program.

Defining the process to withdraw from the Internship Process.

DEFINITIONS

  1. “Career Assistance” means all the support, and related activities that CST undertakes with respect to its Learners (excluding Alumni) to facilitate preparedness of the Learners.
  2. “Career Preparedness'' means support and assistance provided by CST to any Learner from the date of enrolment into any of our programs which includes Career Preparedness as part of the program. This includes all activities from equipping our Learners with the necessary skills and tools to crack internship interviews (wherever they might apply in personal capacity during or after the completion of the program).
  3. “Company” means organisations or legal entities selected by Hero Vired to participate in the Internship drives organised by Hero Vired for its Learners from time to time.
  4. “Learner” means Hero Vired Users who are eligible for Career Assistance or Internship Assurance by virtue of the program enrolled for/purchased by them as offered by Hero Vired, subject to them meeting eligibility criteria set out in this Policy
  5. “Internship Assurance'' means facilitating internship opportunities and other support/services i.e., Career Assistance and Career Preparedness as prescribed in this Policy to eligible Learners by Hero Vired subject to them meeting eligibility criteria set out in this Policy and fulfilling other conditions prescribed herein.
  6. “Internship Drive” means an event where Hero Vired invites interested Companies with internship opportunities to absorb/place our Learners and/or Alumni, as applicable. These can be conducted during any ongoing program, on program completion or special events for Alumni from time to time.
  7. “Internship Process” means an end-to-end step, where the CST and Learner coordinate, engage right from their registration for internship assistance to arranging internship interviews, and could include but not necessarily guaranteed selection, and internship of a successful Learner with a Company.

IMPORTANT TERMS

  1. Validity: This Policy is valid and effective from 1st April 2023 until amended, revoked or withdrawn by Hero Vired.
  2. Internship Assurance and Term
    Internship Assurance is only applicable to “eligible learners”(Please refer to eligibility section in Section V)
    Moreover, Internship Assurance is only available to Learners of Hero Vired who undergo Career Preparedness and where Hero Vired specifically provides Career Assistance to such Learners and engage itself in preparing the Leaners for the internship. Under Internship Assurance, CST provides certain number of internship opportunities to the Learners as stated in Section C below. Hero Vired shall pay a stipend at the rate of INR 10,000 to said Learner under Internship Assurance Scheme for a period of two months after the expiry of two months from the date of completion of the program with Hero Vired, after which the learner will be signed out of the internship process.
  3. The number of Internship opportunities: Hero Vired commits the following number of minimum internship opportunities stated in the table below to each Learner for programs under Internship Assurance subject to Learner meeting eligibility criteria set herein:
  4. PROGRAM DURATIONNUMBER OF OPPORTUNITIES
    For <=6 months programMinimum 3 internship opportunities.
    For >6 not exceeding 11 months programMinimum 8 internship opportunities.
  5. Learners are required to apply to listed opportunities without any location, stipend or any other condition constraints.
  6. For any Internship drive or process where the learner has participated and results in a successful internship offer from the respective company, the learner will be signed off from all internship related activities, support, drives, processes.
  7. Validity: This Policy is valid and effective from 1st April 2023 until amended, revoked or withdrawn by Hero Vired.
  8. Amendment: Hero Vired reserves the right to revise/amend/withdraw this Policy to suit various legal, business, customer and stake holder’s requirements. You are required to be aware of any changes and review this policy periodically.
  9. Disputes: Any disputes or claims relating to this policy shall be decided by Lead - Career Services at Hero Vired, and the decision shall be final and binding.
  10. Jurisdiction: Courts of New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

A Learner will be eligible for Internship Assurance if they meet the following criteria:

  1. Learner must have a minimum of 75% attendance in all mandatory sessions.
  2. Learner has a minimum of 60% of passing grades in all learning modules taught at Hero Vired or in collaboration with Hero Vired partner institutes as defined in the program.
  3. 100% Attendance across Career Preparedness sessions is a critical precursor to be eligible for “Internship Assurance”. Attendance across these sessions will only be excused on selective cases based on supporting documentation as an exception.
  4. The learner has completed his/her profile on V Learn platform, submitted a well formatted fully updated CV and has necessarily completed, submitted relevant program collaterals like program projects, capstone projects etc.
  5. The Learner has met other criteria as defined by the learning excellence team from time to time associated with completion of the program the Learner has enrolled in.
  6. The Learner has satisfactorily worked on areas of development as advised by the CST.
  7. The Learner has no present or past record of any disciplinary/code of conduct issues during any program and is eligible for internship as per Hero Vired's sole discretion.

SCOPE OF CAREER ASSISTANCE

Scope of Career Assistance
The following activities will be undertaken as per the “Integrated Program Calendar” (which will be shared with the learner at the start of the program)

  1. Interview Readiness Sessions
    1. Resume Building
    2. LinkedIn Profile Building
    3. Personal Branding
    4. Interview Preparedness
  2. SME Sessions
    1. Industry Sessions
    2. Career Coaching Sessions
    3. Career Bootcamps

CAPSTONE - (PROJECTS/INTERNSHIPS/APPRENTICESHIPS/CAREER PHASE)

Programs that have inbuilt capstone – (projects/internships/ apprenticeships) will be offered to Learners by the CST. CST will be entitled to allocate suitable capstone (projects/internships/ apprenticeships) to eligible Learner basis Learner’s eligibility and career aspirations. Learner acknowledges that the decision of CST in this connection will be final and binding, and any request by a Learner for changing of the capstone - (projects/internships/ apprenticeships) shall be liable to be rejected.

DEBARMENT FROM CAREER ASSISTANCE PROCESSES

You are liable to be suspended/debarred from our Career Assistance processes if you :

  1. Indulge in misconduct or misbehaviour with a company or Hero Vired staff, employees, representatives.
  2. Indulge in any kind of plagiarism or resort to unethical means during any part of the program.
  3. Present false or misleading information to Hero Vired.
  4. Indulge in any acts prohibited under applicable laws.
  5. Indulge in any criminal act or wrongdoings.
  6. Spread or cause to spread disharmony, discontent, or anti-national sentiments.
  7. Are found indulging in any acts, which in the reasonable opinion of Hero Vired is unacceptable.
  8. Any arbitration with/ against the organisation
  9. In addition to the above, if Hero Vired receives any notice against you from any government investigation body, court, or any other authority, we shall be entitled to forthwith suspend your participation in the program, without incurring any liability. Subject to an inquiry, if any Learner is found clean of the alleged wrongdoings mentioned above, the CST will revoke the suspension/debarment and notify the Learner.

INTERNSHIP PROCESS - REGISTRATION AND OTHER TERMS

A. Registration: To participate in our Internship Drives, you are required to fill our registration form supplied by CST and submit your request to enrol in the Internship Process within the time period specified by us.
B. Internship Drive: During our Internship Process, we would arrange Internship Drive(s) where one or more Company may participate to select suitable candidates for Company’s internship openings. Once you are eligible to participate in any Internship Drive or Drive(s), you must diligently review the Internship Description (JD) of the participating Company(ies) which provides all the details about the role. You must fill forms as may be required with accurate and correct details. Hero Vired or Company shall be entitled to reject your candidature if we find deficient or incorrect information.
C. Selection of companies: Hero Vired reserves the right to select companies that should be invited for the Internship Drive(s).

Note:
  1. Hero Vired shall not entertain any location preference of a Learner for companies participating in its Internship Drive.
  2. Hero Vired shall not entertain rejection of an offer by a Learner for reasons of lower stipend in case internship opportunities offered are in same domain as the program in which the Learner has enrolled with us and it shall be counted towards the total number of opportunities provided under this Policy.

D. Selection Process: You acknowledge that the selection process for each Company may be different and each may have various rounds i.e., CV shortlisting, written tests, standardized tests, project/assignment submission, interviews, etc., and you agree to fully participate in the steps as listed by a particular Company. Your non-compliance will entitle us to restrain you from appearing in further Internship Drive(s) without incurring any liability. The selection process may be of the following types, and we shall keep you informed on the procedures in advance

  1. Online Recruitment – Conducted virtually; or
  2. Hybrid Recruitment – Mix of online and offline steps. You may be required to present physically at the location provided by the company invited for Internship drive(s) and/or participate virtually for part of the process; or
  3. Capstone Project/Internship driven recruitment– Company, in consultation with Hero Vired CST, directly offers a position to a Learner who is undertaking capstone –(project/internship/apprenticeship) with it. This may be subject to selection rounds as each Company may deem fit.

E. Interview stage: You are required to attend the interviews scheduled at the time and venue communicated by CST. Hero Vired disclaims any liability due to short notice changes in any interview schedule. You are advised to conduct yourself professionally and as per industry standards while participating in the Internship Drive(s) and/or interviews.
F. Communication: Any notification or communication will be on the email ID provided by the Learner, and we take no liability in the event any Learner misses a scheduled interview for any reason including wrong communication ID provided by the Learner. Such absence without sufficient reason and notice may also cause the Learner to be disallowed to participate in further interviews.
G. Cost and Expenses: Learner shall be required to participate in the Internship Process at their own cost. If you are required to appear physically at any Company premises/or other location specified by the Company or communicated by us, you are required to make travel and related arrangements at your own cost.
H. Prohibition: Learners shall not indulge in any direct or indirect communication with any Company including their employees, agents or officers participating in our Internship Drive(s). Any bypass of the CST or concealment of any facts, influencing any employee of the Company to ensure your selection will entitle us/Company invited for Internship Drive(s) to take necessary action against you including blacklisting you and/or debarment from the Internship Drive(s). In case of any such misconduct, if the recruiting Company (ies) wishes to take legal action against the Learner then it’s the sole liability of the Learner to resolve such disputes. If you receive any communication from the recruiting Company, you must promptly notify us.
I. Sanctions due to non-participation: Hero Vired’s Internship Drives are an effort by us to enable our Learners to seek career opportunities. Your failure to attend the Internship Drive after registering due to any reason* or non-participation in any subsequent rounds of a particular Internship Drive will entitle us to disallow you from participating in the next few Internship Drive(s) and/or debar you from the entire Internship Process. You acknowledge that your non-appearance or non-participation will subject you to sanctions as specified in Annexure 1 of this Policy.ubject you to sanctions as specified in Annexure 1 of this Policy.
J. Sanctions due to under performance: If at any point of the ongoing Internship Process, it has been found that any Learner is deliberately underperforming or notified/observed by the recruiting Company in doing so, in that case you will be subjected to sanctions as specified in Annexure 1of this Policy.
Note*:
CST team reserves the right to withdraw sanction or permit any Leaner to participate in the drives if the Learner demonstrates a genuine reason of non-appearance

INTERNSHIP OFFER

If you secure an internship opportunity during any of our Internship Drives, our CST will communicate the details of the offer to you, and you must confirm acceptance within the time specified in the offer.

You acknowledge that said company may subsequently make a job offer/ pre-Internship offer to you in consultation with CST. However, Hero Vired does not guarantee in any way conversion of an internship to a full-time job role.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

The following general terms shall apply to Acceptance of any job offer:
A. Accepting Offer – Any internship offer acceptance must be communicated by the Learner along with their offer letter (whether they have been placed by Hero Vired or independently) at the email ID: careerservices@herovired.com within 48 hours from the date of receiving offer communication. Learners must notify Hero Vired within 48 hours of joining the Company with details of the name of the company they have joined.

Notes:

  1. Learner’s Alumni status with Hero Vired may be revoked if they fail to join a Company after accepting the offer arranged through Hero Vired Internship Drive(s).
  2. Before appearing for or participating in any Internship Drive of a Company, it’s the Learner’s responsibility to check credentials of the company to avoid any future problems like fraudulent company, not good or healthy work environment, etc.
  3. If any Company requires a Learner to submit original mark sheets, documents, deposit, bank guarantee, copy of passport, etc. while joining, the Learner would need to make a decision on their own to submit the requested documents and we will not be involved or take any responsibility for the same.
  4. Hero Vired reserves the right to discontinue or revoke this Policy or partly Internship Assurance or Internship Assistance anytime, without incurring any liability.
  5. Hero Vired shall be entitled to decline Internship assistance or Internship assurance to a Learner for reasons which Hero Vired in its sole discretion deems proper.

DEBARMENT FROM CAREER ASSISTANCE AND INTERNSHIP PROCESS

You are liable to be suspended/debarred from our Career Assistance and/or all or selected Internship Drives if you:

  1. Indulge in misconduct or misbehaviour with a company or Hero Vired staff, employees, representatives.
  2. Register for a Internship drive and subsequently fail to submit any assignment rolled out by the company as per the hiring company specified timelines.
  3. Register for a Internship drive and subsequently be absent in any stage/ round of the interview process, as specified by the hiring company.
  4. Abort from Internship process abruptly.
  5. Conceal information regarding offer/ personal details from CST.
  6. Communicate directly with companies participating in the Internship drive.
  7. Disobey any instructions issued by Hero Vired regarding the Internship Process.
  8. Indulge in plagiarism during a program/Internship Drive.
  9. Resort to unethical means.
  10. Present false or misleading information to Hero Vired or the company.
  11. Accept an offer and then reject/surrender it or fail to join.
  12. Indulge in any acts prohibited under applicable laws.
  13. Indulge in any criminal act or wrongdoings.
  14. Spread or cause to spread disharmony, discontent, or anti-national sentiments.
  15. Are found indulging in any acts or omissions, which in the reasonable opinion of Hero Vired is unacceptable.
  16. Any arbitration with/ against the organisation

In addition to the above, if Hero Vired receives any notice against you from any government investigation body, court, or any other authority, we shall be entitled to forthwith suspend your participation in the Internship Process, without incurring any liability.
Subject to an inquiry, if any Learner is found clean of the alleged wrongdoings mentioned above, the CST will revoke the suspension/debarment and notify the Learner.

REFUND/REIMBURSEMENT OF FEE

In the event a Learner either gets debarred from Internship Assurance or Assistance or chooses not to appear for Internship Drive or fails to fulfil eligibility conditions prescribed under this Policy, or does not get selected for an internship despite career services provided by Hero Vired, the Learner will not be entitled to claim any refund or reimbursement of any fee paid by them to Hero Vired towards program.

COMMUNICATIONS

Learners are required to maintain correct contact details (phone number and email ID) provided by them at the time of enrolling in our program. In case of any change, the Learner must promptly notify the Programs Support Team. Hero Vired shall not be liable for any non-communication or loss of communication due to outdated/incorrect Learner contact details.
Hero Vired Learners must update their contact details by writing to the Programs Support Team at the email IDprograms@herovired.com.
If you do not wish to participate in the Internship Process, please notify us by mailing careerservices@herovired.com. Your failure to do so will entitle us to send related communication to you without incurring any liability.

DISCLAIMERS

  1. Learner acknowledges that Hero Vired is only facilitating the career opportunities for its Learners and any issuance of an offer letter from any Company depends on the performance of the Learner in the Company’s selection process and other credentials.
  2. Hero Vired does not promise or guarantee a job offer or minimum stipend. Any offer is subject to the eligibility, skill, and expertise of the Learner and their ability to satisfy the requirements of the Company.
  3. Nothing in this Policy shall be read or interpreted as any job guarantee/promise of Internship upon completion of any program with us.
  4. Hero Vired shall not entertain any claims if you are unable to secure a job after our Internship Drives.
  5. Hero Vired does not guarantee any fitness for work environment or best employer status of the Companies which participates in its Internship Drives. It is Learner’s responsibility to verify the Company(ies) credentials.
  6. Hero Vired reserves the right to change the policy as per their discretion.
